*(P.S. You may have to do some bartering with shop keeps for deals... just remind them you're there to help them make room for the new stock!)

This sucker is huge! Up close in person this figure (and all the other 1/4 Scale figures by NECA for that matter) are very well detailed and painted. The large, 18" tall figures usually retail $99-$120 CDN at local collectable stores, which given the quality and size, seems like a steal. However, unlike their smaller counterparts, these larger versions do lack the "hyper-articulation" from the smaller scale versions. Still, I bet this will look fantastic in the man (or woman) cave!

To say there was a craze related to the release of the Amiibos is an understatement. Their timing was perfect just before Christmas coinciding with the release of Super Smash Bros for the WiiU, these $14 (CDN) stocking stuffers were being snatched up left and right by crazyed parents and gamers! More than just figures, combined with certain Nintendo WiiU games, an Amiibo provides the gamers with certain bonuses by "tapping" them on your controller.

With Nintendo limiting a few of the figures, everyone seemed to be on the hunt for rarities like "the Villager" and "Marth" (rumored not to be re-produced), Amiibos reached a fevered pitch this year! In fact, a factory error "2 Gun Samus" sold online for over $2500! High prices is one of the dangers of buying newly released items at the height of the craze. Conversely, waiting for deals like I usually do, you may miss out. Everyone has to judge for themselves what's the right thing to do. Seems a lot of this craze was fueled by rumors and speculations however. Great marketing plan on behalf of Nintendo!

Shooting retro video game lovers in the heart, these cross collectables (video games and figures) NECA has created a total of 6 different licenced figures (so far), 3 of which released in 2014, as they looked in their 8-Bit video game versions, including color themes, presentation and packaging. The look of these figures is very unique, a great addition to any retro gamer or figure collection.
In 2013, NECA released Nightmare on Elm Street's "Freddy", "Jason" from Friday the 13th and Robocop from... well... Robocop. 2014 saw the releases of Predator, Rocky and Rambo, all figures with games from the same name. All well designed and crafted, there's no question that these reek of awesomeness! The question is, will you unseal them or keep them forever preserved? At $30 each, they're very reasonable.
