Best of Video Game Figures 2014 - Part 1!

http://thebfgreview.blogspot.ca/2014/12/best-of-video-game-figures-2014-part-1.html

As one of the original "Thriftdwellers", I'm always hunting for a deal! One of the great things about looking back at "last year's" stock is DEALS and SALES*! Knowing ahead of time what you want is an advantage out in the wild when the high pressure, spur of the moment opportunities arise. You may want to keep an eye out for these, here's a look at some of the coolest video game related items available at a comic book store near you...

*(P.S. You may have to do some bartering with shop keeps for deals... just remind them you're there to help them make room for the new stock!)

http://www.toychestnews.com/Home/1/1/4/1074?stockItemID=STK664367
Being that the Resident Evil series has seen better days, I wasn't expecting to find this awesome looking statue of a heavily mutated William Birkin...

Room Tour Inspirationals

averone007 is a very serious statue collector on YouTube. His collection is amazing and one day I hope to "graduate" to a level of collecting this intense! He has a massive amount of quality figures from many genres of Geekdom. Room tour videos are great motivation for collectors as well as giving the ability to help individuals decide what works for their collecting.

A Review of "The Licker" by NECA

Licker by NECA
Original Purchase Price: $20

The Licker is a staple Resident Evil series enemy. With his (or her?) skinless mutated form, the Licker uses his agility and deadly tongue mutilate his enemies. NECA does a great job representing Umbrella's freak of nature in this 5 inch high figure. Despite it's limited articulation, the figure has a great sculpt and detail, especially in the exposed spine and brain section.

Given this figure has been available for some time, the online cost as risen. My original purchase price of $20 would have made this an outstanding value. However with Amazon.com averaging
$40, I would reserve my money for something bigger and more current.

The YouTube Channel (BETA version)

This is Genesis... Sega. BFGReview's YouTube channel is in development and will officially be launched soon. Unlike my (and my friend's) original Thriftdweller YouTube Channel, BFGReviews is my own project. It will focus more on reviews as I do my own thing, focusing figures from Hot Toys, NECA, Square Play Arts and more! I'll also throw in the occasional video game and anything in "Geekdom".  Thank you for taking an interest and I hope you enjoy the ride.

I plan on sharing information and my reflections on an on going basis in 2015. For now, here's a list of the top 5 items I am looking forward to in 2015!

This Top 5 Anticipated Figures of 2015 hits both my G-Spots (geek and gaming) =D
